Hello from Chicago
Just a quick update!!
Greetings friends!
I’m writing this on a bumpy bus ride, on my way to the Irish American Heritage Center where CAKE is held. I’m a special guest this year, which is so exciting because I would’ve come even if I wasn’t. Cake is one of my favorite fests, and I’ve got friends in this city!
I realized, now as I’m about 10 minutes away from the venue, that I don’t think I’ve shared about it. So if you happen to be in Chicago and aren’t already planning on going to cake AND read my newsletter (I doubt this is anyone but why not cover all my bases?) please come out!
I’ll be on a panel on Sunday. As a special guest, they let me pitch the theme, so I chose something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately— making work for audiences of different ages. I think it’s going to be a fascinating discussion, given my really smart and talented co-panelists and moderator, so if you’re around, please come by! I’ll be sure to report back on it for everyone else.
Here’s some bonus pics from my time so far in Chicago. I had one extra play day, and my friend Miles & I went to the Field Museum.
Real newsletter coming soon! Till then 💚💚💚
